# Ursula von der Leyen: The third strategic dialogue on the automotive industry was held today

> European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated during the third strategic dialogue on the automotive industry that the EU hopes future cars will be manufactured in Europe and aims to collaborate with the industry to promote this vision. She mentioned that the "Industrial Action Plan" has gradually achieved results, aimed at protecting European businesses, improving access to critical raw materials, and supporting workers through skills retraining. At the same time, von der Leyen emphasized the integration of decarbonization goals with technology neutrality principles

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated: We want the future of cars — and the cars of the future — to be made in Europe. Therefore, we are working hand in hand with the industry to make this vision a reality. Today, we held the third strategic dialogue with the automotive industry, and our Industrial Action Plan is gradually taking effect. We are protecting European companies from the impact of unfair competition, improving access to critical raw materials, and providing support for workers through skills retraining. We have also listened to the concerns of the industry and provided corresponding flexibility for adjustments. We will combine decarbonization goals with the principle of technological neutrality
