# Centene Expects Business Segments to Improve in 2026, Truist Securities Says

(MT Newswires) -- Centene (CNC) expects all of its business segments to improve in 2026 as the company continues to focus on driving margin across its portfolio after reaffirming its 2025 adjusted earnings per share guidance and providing "positive commentary" in key business lines, Truist Securities said in a Friday note.

In a recent conference presentation, Centene highlighted the incremental progress in its health benefits ratio for Medicaid, in line with its target of H2 segment ratio improvement. For its Marketplace segment, Centene has refiled rates in states covering about 95% of its membership, a majority of which have already been approved, Truist said.

For Medicare, preliminary data indicate Stars trends to be in-line with management's expectations, with a possibility for 4-Star plans membership percentage to be "a bit better than expected," the investment firm added.

"While the environment continues to carry areas of uncertainty we are encouraged by the company's update," Truist said.

Truist raised its price target on Centene to $39 from $35 and reiterated its buy rating.
