# Bank of America appoints co-president

> Bank of America appointed Dean Athanasia and Jim DeMare as co-presidents, succeeding Brian Moynihan. Moynihan has served as president and in other roles since 2010. He stated that Dean and Jim will collaborate in their new roles to drive strategic efforts to increase market share and returns, while continuing to expand AI-based tools and innovative services for clients

Bank of America (BAC.US) announced on Friday that it has appointed Dean Athanasia and Jim DeMare as co-presidents, succeeding Brian Moynihan, who serves as chairman and CEO and has held the presidency and two other positions since 2010.

Moynihan stated that in their new roles as co-presidents, Dean and Jim will work together to drive a broad strategic effort, including a company-wide initiative focused on increasing market share and returns, and continuing to expand AI-based tools and innovative services for clients
