> The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and eight other departments released the "Automobile Industry Stabilization and Growth Work Plan (2025-2026)", aimed at accelerating the marketization process of new energy vehicles, promoting the electrification of vehicles in the public sector, and planning to promote 700,000 new energy vehicles in 25 pilot cities. The plan also includes enhancing the electrification level in rural areas, promoting the application of fuel cell vehicles, developing battery swapping models, and optimizing vehicle insurance policies to ensure a smooth transition for new energy vehicles

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and eight other departments issued the "Automobile Industry Steady Growth Work Plan (2025-2026)." The plan points out the need to accelerate the comprehensive market expansion of new energy vehicles. It emphasizes promoting the electrification of public sector vehicles in pilot areas, aiming for over 700,000 new energy vehicles in urban public transport, taxis, and logistics distribution across 25 pilot cities. Continuous organization of new energy vehicle outreach activities and pilot projects to enhance charging and battery swapping facilities in rural areas will improve the electrification level of rural residents' vehicles. Actively promoting the demonstration application of fuel cell vehicles to drive the large-scale application of medium and heavy-duty fuel cell commercial vehicles for medium and long-distance transportation. Developing guiding opinions to promote the development of battery swapping models to meet diverse market demands. Deepening the reform of new energy vehicle insurance to optimize the benchmark rates for commercial vehicle insurance. Implementing tax reduction and exemption policies for the purchase of new energy vehicles and vehicle and vessel tax to ensure a smooth and orderly transition
