# Tesla: Sales performance is ideal, and the German factory will increase production

> Tesla's Germany plant manager Andre Thierig stated that due to strong sales performance, the electric vehicle production at the German plant will exceed the original plan, and the production targets for the third and fourth quarters have been raised. Nevertheless, Tesla's new vehicle registrations in Germany fell by 39% last month, and dropped by 56% in the first 8 months of this year. Musk attributed the poor sales to production disruptions caused by the redesign transition of the Model Y

According to foreign media reports, Tesla (TSLA.US) Germany plant manager Andre Thierig stated that due to very good sales data, the electric vehicle production at the German factory will exceed the original plan, and the production targets for the third and fourth quarters have been raised.

Thierig did not disclose the specific details of the new production targets, and his optimistic remarks are also inconsistent with recent sales data. Last month, Tesla's new car registrations in Germany fell by 39%, and in the first eight months of this year, they plummeted by 56%. Musk attributed the poor sales to the complete redesign of the best-selling model, Model Y, which led to temporary production interruptions
