# BitMine accumulates another 80,000 Ethereum, accelerating towards the goal of holding 5% of circulating supply

According to Zhitong Finance APP, BitMine (BMNR.US) reported that as of September 14, 2025, its total holdings of cryptocurrencies, cash, and strategic investments amounted to $10.77 billion. The company holds 2.151 million Ethereum, with each Ether valued at $4,632, continuing to rise from 2.069 million a week ago, making BitMine the largest holder of Ethereum in the world. The company also holds 192 Bitcoins, $214 million in Eightco shares, and $569 million in undistributed cash.

BitMine continues to accumulate Ether through capital raising via share issuance and strategic acquisitions, emulating Michael Saylor's operational model through Strategy (MSTR.US). The company's goal is to hold 5% of the total circulating Ethereum globally.

BitMine is currently one of the most frequently traded stocks in the United States. According to Fundstrat, the average daily trading amount for this stock is $2 billion (as of the 5-day average ending September 12, 2025), ranking 28th nationwide.

The recently signed GENIUS Act establishes the first federal regulatory framework for stablecoins in the United States, aimed at encouraging innovation in the cryptocurrency sector. Given Ethereum's dominant position in the stablecoin ecosystem, this act will enhance its liquidity, making it a center for compliant real asset tokenization and payments. Ethereum is still in its early development stages, and as application scenarios expand, its price may rise significantly, while BitMine, as a massive holder of Ethereum, will benefit from leveraged premium returns.

Although most investors may prefer to hold Ethereum directly, Seeking Alpha analyst Steven Fiorillo believes that BitMine has explosive growth potential—its Ether holdings have leveraged upside potential, which could yield a premium far exceeding the net asset value.

As the reserve of Ethereum increases, BitMine's net asset value will grow in tandem. If Ether is in an upward channel, investors may achieve excess returns. If the goal of holding 5% of the circulating supply is realized, BitMine will strengthen network effects and scarcity, thereby outperforming the returns of directly holding Ether, a phenomenon already validated in the historical performance of Bitcoin reserve companies surpassing Bitcoin price increases
