# U.S. Stock Movement | ASML rises over 5% after $1.5 billion investment in French AI startup Mistral AI

In news, ASML announced that it is investing €1.3 billion (approximately $1.5 billion) in the French artificial intelligence startup Mistral AI and acquiring an 11% stake, becoming the largest shareholder. According to a statement released by ASML, it will establish a strategic partnership with Mistral AI to explore the use of artificial intelligence models in ASML's product portfolio as well as in research, development, and operations, benefiting ASML's customers with faster time-to-market and higher performance lithography systems

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, on Monday, ASML (ASML.US) rose over 5%, closing at $855.92. Recently, ASML announced that it would invest €1.3 billion (approximately $1.5 billion) in the French artificial intelligence startup Mistral AI, acquiring an 11% stake and becoming the largest shareholder.
