# Understanding the Market | CTIHK rose over 6% in the afternoon, the glo series will be launched in Italy and Poland, institutions are optimistic about the company's overseas strategic positioning

CTIHK's core business includes tobacco leaf import, export, and cigarette export, and it is expected that revenue and profit will grow steadily in the first half of 2025, continuing to promote international business expansion in the future

According to Zhitong Finance APP, China Tobacco Hong Kong (06055) rose more than 6% in the afternoon, with a current increase of 6.62%, priced at HKD 46.7, and a transaction volume of HKD 223 million.

In terms of news, Guojin Securities pointed out that British American Tobacco recently announced that the glo series will soon be launched in Italy and Poland, including the brand new glo Hilo Hilo, glo HiloPlus, and virto heated tobacco capsules. Following the nationwide launch of Hilo in Japan on September 1, market feedback has been positive, with a focus on the sales performance of Hilo after its launch in key European markets.

It is reported that the three core businesses of China Tobacco Hong Kong—import business of tobacco leaf products, export business of tobacco leaf products, and cigarette export business—contribute 81.4%, 11.2%, and 5.3% to revenue, respectively, totaling 98.0%; the gross profit contributions are 72.6%, 6.7%, and 15.0%, respectively, totaling 94.3%.

CITIC Construction Investment pointed out that in the first half of 2025, China Tobacco Hong Kong's revenue and profit will achieve steady growth, mainly due to the impressive growth rate of the tobacco leaf import and export business and the decrease in financial expenses. Looking ahead, the company adheres to the strategic positioning of "China Tobacco International Group's overseas capital market operations and international business expansion platform," with a focus on both internal and external synergy, and leapfrog development is expected
