# The semiconductor ETF fell over 0.6%, leading the decline among U.S. stock sector ETFs, while the bank ETF rose at least 1.1%

> On Wednesday (September 17), the semiconductor ETF fell by 0.64%, becoming the worst-performing sector ETF in the U.S. stock market. The global technology stock index ETF and technology sector ETF saw declines of up to 0.50%. In contrast, the financial sector ETF rose by 0.97%, and the banking sector ETF increased by 1.10%. Among the 11 sectors of the S&P 500 index, the information technology/technology sector dropped by 0.70%, while the financial sector rose by 0.96%

On Wednesday (September 17, the Federal Reserve's interest rate cut day), the semiconductor ETF fell by 0.64%, while the global technology stock index ETF, technology sector ETF, and consumer discretionary ETF fell by up to 0.50%. The energy sector ETF rose by 0.23%, the internet stock index ETF increased by 0.47%, the financial sector ETF rose by 0.97%, the banking sector ETF increased by 1.10%, and the regional bank ETF rose by 1.19%.

Among the 11 sectors of the S&P 500 index, the information technology/technology sector fell by 0.70%, while the financial sector rose by 0.96%
