And so, I think that’s what you’re seeing is a primary driver \[for the White House\] right now.” Haberman said the administration’s Jeffrey Epstein saga would have taken up most of its headspace a couple of weeks ago but Trump has since made it “very clear” that he’s engaging in “crackdowns” against the left. The president has pinned the blame for Kirk’s assassination on the “radical left” and cherry-picked episodes of political violence to make the case that the left is more violent than the right.
