According to the Zhitong Finance APP, Guotai Junan has released a research report stating that, based on the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's website, the "Safety Requirements for Intelligent Connected Vehicle Combination Driving Assistance Systems" has entered the public consultation phase. From January to July 2025, the sales volume of new passenger cars equipped with combination driving assistance systems in China reached 7.76 million units. The firm believes that the establishment of L2 standards will effectively regulate industry promotion, enhance consumer awareness, and positively impact automakers' efforts in advancing intelligent driving research and development, thereby promoting the hardware aspects of intelligent driving perception, execution, and control.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's website, the "Safety Requirements for Intelligent Connected Vehicle Combination Driving Assistance Systems" (hereinafter referred to as "Requirements") has begun public consultation. **Recommended targets:** CAERI, W-Ibeda, Soochow Securities, Nexperia, Bertel, Asia-Pacific Group, Coboda, Desay SV.

The "Requirements" categorize combination driving assistance systems into basic single-lane combination driving assistance systems, basic multi-lane combination driving assistance systems, navigation combination driving assistance systems, and parking combination driving assistance systems, and **provides clear specifications for the functions that L2 vehicles should meet in various scenarios**.

The "Requirements" **ensure the safety of L2 vehicles on the road throughout the entire process from research and development to testing, and then to the driver activating the L2 function.** For example, it strictly limits the system's "design operating conditions," constructs a multi-level verification scheme that includes field tests, road tests, and document inspections, and **dynamically monitors the vehicle's operating status during the operational phase to ensure that drivers avoid traffic accidents caused by "misuse" or "abuse," with capabilities for hand disengagement detection and gaze disengagement detection, etc.**
