This special waiver applies to all CATHAY PAC AIR tickets issued globally on or before September 21, 2023 (original issue date) and confirmed CATHAY PAC AIR seats for round trips to Hong Kong (HKG) by September 25, 2025. Cancellation or refund: Fees for cancellation or refund are not waived. For rebooking or changing flight destinations: The rebooking/change fee will be waived under the following conditions: 1) The ticket change must be completed before or on September 25, 2025 (inclusive) and before the original flight departure. 2) Passengers who fail to submit and complete the ticket change before the above deadline will not be exempt from the relevant fees. 3) The new departure date must be before December 15, 2025, and is subject to seat availability. 4) The rebooked segments must comply with the relevant fare rules, such as date restrictions, applicable flights, weekday/weekend travel, stopover surcharges, and other surcharges for peak/off-peak seasons. 5) Changes to round trips or transit points must be on CATHAY PAC AIR flights and are subject to seat availability, fare, and tax differences. Additionally, if a flight is canceled by CATHAY PAC AIR, passengers who cancel their trips and request a refund may be exempt from the refund fee. CATHAY PAC AIR's subsidiary, Hong Kong Express, also stated that due to the approaching typhoon "Ragasa," the company has made special ticket arrangements to address the potential impact of the typhoon. Passengers who purchased tickets on or before September 20, with original travel dates from September 23 to 25, will be exempt from the fees for changing dates or destinations (the new destination is limited to the same region as the original flight or route). In addition, Hong Kong Airlines issued a travel advisory: Typhoon "Ragasa" is approaching Hong Kong, and flights departing and arriving between September 23 and 25 may be delayed or canceled; online check-in services for some flights will be suspended. Hong Kong Airlines stated that the fees for rebooking/changing flight destinations for flights on September 23 to 25 have been waived, and this measure only applies to all tickets with confirmed seats on Hong Kong Airlines. Greater Bay Airlines also has corresponding arrangements; passengers originally scheduled to depart between September 23 and 25 can change their tickets for free within 7 days of the original departure date.
