# The Fourmile gold mine project becomes a "game changer"! Barrick Mining has risen for four consecutive days, reaching a 12-year high

According to Zhitong Finance APP, Canadian metal producer Barrick Mining (B.US) has seen its stock rise for four consecutive trading days, marking the largest four-day gain since early 2020. This is due to the company's project in the United States, which is expected to become an important new gold mine, thereby boosting the prospects of this company that has faced setbacks in high-risk areas.

On September 16, preliminary assessments of Barrick Mining's Fourmile project in Nevada indicated that the mine has the potential to produce up to 750,000 ounces of gold annually. The company described the Fourmile project as "one of the greatest gold discoveries of this century." This discovery is particularly noteworthy as the exploration and development of new deposits are becoming increasingly difficult and expensive under pressure from shareholders to maximize returns. Additionally, the rising price of gold as a safe-haven asset, which reached a new high on Monday, has drawn extra attention to this discovery.

On Monday, Barrick Mining's stock rose 7.2% to $35.36 per share, reaching its highest level since January 2013. Since the announcement of the Fourmile project last week, the stock has increased by a total of 23%. Record gold prices have also driven the stock price higher.

This has prompted analysts to raise their price forecasts for Barrick Mining. TD Cowen analyst Steven Green referred to the Fourmile project as a "game changer." Before this positive update on the Fourmile project, Barrick Mining faced interruptions in its projects in Mali, Papua New Guinea, and Pakistan, along with high costs that weighed down its valuation. Steven Green stated, "We believe that given the stock's poor performance in recent years, there is still significant room for valuation catch-up, and the Fourmile project improves the company's narrative."

Stifel analyst Ralph Profiti estimated the value of the Fourmile project to be over $10 billion. BMO Capital Markets analyst Matthew Murphy estimated its value at $9.2 billion
