During the week of September 15-21, week 38 of 2025, Nio Inc (NYSE: NIO) recorded 6,670 vehicle insurance registrations in China, an 8.10 percent increase from the previous week's 6,170 units, according to figures shared today on Weibo by multiple automotive industry observers. Insurance registrations for its Onvo sub-brand were 2,780 units last week, a 6.11 percent increase from the prior week's 2,620 units. This included 2,410 units of the L90 large SUV. Insurance registrations for the Firefly sub-brand totaled 1,310 last week, a 16.44 percent increase from the previous week's 1,125. Nio Inc delivered a record 31,305 vehicles in August, comprising 10,525 from the Nio main brand, 16,434 from Onvo, and 4,346 from Firefly. Xiaomi (HKG: 1810, OTCMKTS: XIACY) recorded 10,800 insurance registrations last week, a 10.32 percent increase from the previous week's 9,790 units. Xiaomi EV delivered 36,396 vehicles in August, marking the second consecutive month exceeding 30,000 units following July's 30,452 deliveries, according to data compiled by CnEVPost. The Zeekr (NYSE: ZK) brand recorded 3,200 insurance registrations last week, flat from the previous week. Zeekr Group delivered 44,843 vehicles in August, marking a 10.61 percent year-on-year increase and a 1.47 percent rise from July. The Zeekr brand delivered 17,626 vehicles in August, reflecting a 2.16 percent year-on-year decline but a 3.82 percent increase from July. Lynk & Co delivered 27,217 vehicles in August, up 20.81 percent year-on-year and unchanged from July's 27,216 units. The company delivered 57,066 vehicles in August, marking its fourth consecutive month of record-high deliveries. This marks Leapmotor's second monthly delivery exceeding 50,000 units, representing an 88.31 percent year-on-year increase and a 13.84 percent rise from July.
