# Microsoft releases chip with built-in microfluidic cooling system

> Microsoft stated in a blog post that the company has developed a chip with an integrated microfluidic cooling system, which can effectively cool servers running the core services of simulated Teams meetings. Microsoft's lab-scale tests showed that "depending on the workload and configuration involved, the microfluidic technology performs two to three times better in heat dissipation compared to cold plate technology." Microsoft mentioned that it is testing this new cooling system to address the heat generation issues of chips used in data centers when running artificial intelligence
