The semi-autonomous farm has been launched in partnership with DualMint, a platform focused on tokenizing everyday businesses, and KanayaAI, an urban agritech company. Located in Hong Kong—one of the world’s most densely populated cities, the farm will grow and deliver fresh greens such as lettuce, kale, and spinach directly to local homes on a subscription basis. This steady demand will serve as the foundation for yields generated by the farm’s tokenized structure. ## Details about the farm The world’s first tokenized vertical farming complex on peaq is being designed, built, and operated by KanayaAI and tokenized by DualMint, which recently joined peaq’s ecosystem. The smart farm, automating around 80% of traditional manual tasks through AI and robotics, is expected to launch in Q4 2025. The farm will supply fresh greens to the local community, delivering about 12 crop cycles per year compared to 3–4 in conventional farming. Its AI-powered robotics and hydroponic systems are projected to cut labor costs by 50%, while its climate control system is expected to produce 20% more crops than a traditional farm of similar size. The proprietary design also makes the system highly resource-efficient, using land 10 times more effectively, consuming just one-tenth the water, and requiring no pesticides. This clean, sustainable approach aligns closely with Hong Kong’s ecological goals while ensuring consistent, local food production. The vertical farm’s cash flow will be tokenized as NFTs on peaq, providing yields to holders based on the farm’s revenue. A waiting list for the farm’s token is already open on DualMint’s website and the peaq Portal, giving early sign-ups priority access to the NFT sale. Looking ahead, DualMint plans to bring more “Boring Robots” — tokenized machines that work around the clock on everyday tasks — to the peaq ecosystem. ## Physical AI and Web3 According to the World Economic Forum, Physical AI—AI-powered robotics—is driving a new era of industrial automation, with smart robots poised to reshape entire economies. The world’s first tokenized robo-farm illustrates how bringing automation onchain can spread the benefits more broadly, beyond just large corporations. Through machine tokenization, communities worldwide can co-own and earn from the robots that serve them, from unmanned stores to automated cafés. For Web3, this creates a new asset class tied to real-world demand rather than speculation, supporting sustainable growth. With the launch of its tokenized smart farm, peaq advances its mission of making the gains from automation accessible to everyone.
