# A shooting at an immigration and customs detention facility in Texas, USA, has resulted in at least 3 casualties

According to reports from American media on the 24th, a shooting occurred at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention facility in Dallas, Texas, resulting in at least 3 casualties, with the shooter committing suicide. U.S. media cited comments from Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, stating that the shooting resulted in "multiple injuries and fatalities," and the shooter was found dead from a "self-inflicted gunshot wound." The Dallas police announced on social media that the shooting took place around 6:40 AM on the 24th. The shooter fired from a nearby building, killing one person on the spot.
