# LXTG plans to invest 237 million yuan to construct an energy-saving upgrade and transformation project for carbon black tail gas waste heat power generation units

According to the announcement from LXTG (002442.SZ), the company plans to invest in the energy-saving upgrade and transformation project of the carbon black tail gas waste heat power generation unit, with a planned investment amount of 237 million yuan and a construction period of 11 months. The project will be connected to the grid using the "self-generated and self-used, surplus electricity online" method. It will be constructed in two phases: the first phase includes the main plant building, carbon black tail gas boiler, steam turbine, generator set, desulfurization, and supporting facilities for water supply, power supply, environmental protection, fire safety, and health and safety. The second phase will involve the construction of the carbon black tail gas boiler.

This project is an upgrade and transformation of the existing carbon black tail gas power generation units and supporting environmental protection facilities at the company's Shahe production base. The existing generator sets have been in use for over 10 years, with aging equipment and relatively low energy utilization efficiency. This energy-saving upgrade will transform the existing steam turbine generator set into a set of ultra-high temperature and ultra-high pressure steam turbine generator sets, improving energy recovery and utilization efficiency by 31%, which is beneficial for the company to enhance energy efficiency
