# Merck Group changes leadership

According to Merck Group, starting from May 1, 2026, the current CEO of the electronic business, B. K. Kim, will succeed Belén Garijo as the Chairman of the Executive Board and CEO of the Group. Garijo is scheduled to complete her term at the end of April 2026 to ensure a smooth transition in management. She has been with Merck for 15 years, including 6 years as the CEO of the Healthcare business
