# CSG Group plans to invest 1.755 billion in building a photovoltaic glass production line in Egypt

In 2025, the ninth temporary meeting of the board of directors of China Southern Glass Holding Group Co., Ltd. was held in the form of communication, and the proposal on investing in the construction of a photovoltaic glass production line in Egypt was approved. As global photovoltaic manufacturing capacity shifts towards "regional diversification," Southern Glass Group has nearly 20 years of experience in photovoltaic glass manufacturing, with significant technological advantages. Egypt's location and resource advantages are prominent and align with the "Belt and Road" initiative. The company plans to invest 1.755 billion yuan in Egypt to build a photovoltaic glass production line, planning to construct a 1,400T/D single furnace five-line photovoltaic float glass and supporting four tempered coating processing production lines, with an expected construction period of three years. The project still requires government filing approval and may face risks related to policies and financing
