# GED: The controlling shareholder pledged 412 million shares

Guangdong Electric Power A announced that its controlling shareholder, Guangdong Energy Group Co., Ltd., will register a pledge of 412 million A-shares, accounting for 11.64% of its directly held shares and 7.85% of the company's total share capital. This pledge is to secure the exchange of the underlying stocks or the principal and interest payment of the proposed exchangeable corporate bonds. The pledge start date is September 25, 2025, and the pledge expiration date is until the date of deregistration of the pledge. After this pledge, Guangdong Energy Group Co., Ltd. has cumulatively pledged 412 million shares, accounting for 11.64% of its directly held shares and 7.85% of the company's total share capital
