# UNIVERSE ENT released its annual performance, with a loss attributable to shareholders of HKD 63.19 million, an increase of 107.58% year-on-year

> UNIVERSE ENT released its annual performance report for the year ending June 30, 2025, showing a loss attributable to shareholders of HKD 63.19 million, an increase of 107.58% year-on-year. Total revenue was HKD 473 million, an increase of 29.39% year-on-year. The loss per share was HKD 0.0697. The increase in losses was mainly due to an impairment loss of approximately HKD 46.7 million related to film copyrights and films in production, affected by market changes and lower-than-expected box office performance

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, UNIVERSE ENT (01046) announced its annual performance for the year ending June 30, 2025, with total revenue of HKD 473 million, an increase of 29.39% year-on-year; the loss attributable to owners of the company was HKD 63.19 million, an increase of 107.58% year-on-year; and the loss per share was HKD 0.0697.

The announcement stated that the increase in the group's losses was mainly due to an impairment loss on film copyrights, films in production, and film-related deposits, which increased by approximately HKD 46.7 million compared to last year. This was due to changes in comparable market conditions and box office performance being below expectations
