# September 30th Midday Review: The Sci-Tech 50 Index rose 2% in half a day, and the semiconductor industry chain continues to explode

The Shanghai Composite Index fluctuated in the red in the morning, while the ChiNext Index rose and then fell. The STAR 50 Index increased by over 2%, with the semiconductor industry chain continuing to surge, as GUOLIN TECHNOLOGY, HMT, and others hit the daily limit. Hua Hong Semiconductor rose over 10% to reach a new high. The solid-state battery concept was repeatedly active, with Pylon Technologies, Shida Shenghua, Fengshan Group, and others hitting the daily limit. Most individual stocks rose, with over 3,100 stocks in the Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing markets in the green, and a total transaction volume of 1.37 trillion in the morning session.
