# Midday Review: The Shanghai Composite Index fluctuated upward, rising 0.40%, approaching 3,900 points, with the semiconductor sector showing strong fluctuations

The three major indices collectively closed higher. As of the midday break, the Shanghai Composite Index rose by 0.30%, the Shenzhen Component Index rose by 0.31%, the ChiNext Index rose by 0.06%, and the Beijing Stock Exchange 50 Index rose by 0.10%. The total trading volume in the Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing markets reached 1.3698 trillion yuan, an increase of 76.1 billion yuan compared to the previous day. Over 2,900 stocks in the market rose. In terms of sectors, the semiconductor, energy metals, and storage chip sectors advanced, while the large financial sector adjusted. On the market, the semiconductor sector strengthened, with Huahong Semiconductor and ThinkonSemi rising over 15%, and Zhichun Technology hitting the daily limit. The energy metals sector opened high and continued to rise, with Boqian New Materials hitting the daily limit, and Yongxing Materials and Huayou Cobalt rising nearly 7%. The storage chip sector fluctuated upward, with Jiangbolong rising 17%, Baiwei Storage and Shannon Semiconductor rising nearly 10%, and Demingli and Shenzhen Technology hitting the daily limit. The large financial sector adjusted, with Yunan Bank falling nearly 3%, and Xiangcai Shares and Dongfang Fortune falling nearly 2%
