# NavInfo Plans to Acquire 39% of PhiGent; Shares Up 3%

(MT Newswires) -- NavInfo (SHE:002405) plans to acquire 39.1% of software algorithm company PhiGent Robotics through capital increase and asset swap, according to a

The Chinese navigation and digital mapping software company proposed to raise the capital of PhiGent by 250 million yuan to subscribe for 138,423,368 C+ preferred shares.

NavInfo also plans to transfer its entire equity in subsidiary, NavInfo Intelligent Driving (Beijing) Technology, to Beijing PhiGent Technology, an indirect subsidiary of PhiGent, to subscribe for 1,092,383,785 ordinary shares in PhiGent.

After the transaction, NavInfo will become PhiGent's biggest shareholder.

NavInfo's shares jumped over 3% during the afternoon trade.
