# The S&P Pharmaceutical Index closed up about 5.2%, and the Biotechnology Index rose 2.6%

The S&P 500 Pharmaceutical Index closed up 5.19% at 1108.27 points, with a cumulative increase of 9.67% over the last two consecutive trading days—the largest for the same period since October 2008, and a total increase of 11.54% over the last four days.

The Nasdaq Biotechnology Index rose over 2.6%, with constituent stock Larimar Therapeutics Inc. up 27.71%, Applied Therapeutics up 17.33%, and Olema up 16.57%, ranking third.

AstraZeneca ADR rose 9.92%, Novavax rose 9.69%, Biogen (BIIB) rose 9.48%, Moderna rose 8.35%, Tempus AI rose 6.93%, and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals rose 6.84%, performing well.

Design Therapeutics, on the other hand, fell 7.70%, ranking as the third largest decline, UroGen Pharma fell 8.75%, and Enanta Pharmaceuticals fell 9.77%
