The national marine environmental conditions are steadily improving, with the overall seawater quality remaining stable, and the proportion of excellent water quality in coastal waters in 2024 is 83.7%. The pressure on the marine environment has been effectively alleviated, with the total emissions of major pollutants from key monitored direct marine pollution sources decreasing by over 35% compared to 2015. The protection and restoration of marine ecology are being carried out in an orderly manner, and the overall marine ecological conditions nationwide are stable in 2024, with some local sea areas showing improvement
