# Tesla will hold an event tomorrow, possibly launching an affordable version of its electric vehicle

> Tesla announced that it will hold an event on Tuesday, with investors and analysts expecting the launch of more affordable models to maintain sales momentum. Previously, Tesla delayed the launch of the low-cost version of the Model Y, which is expected to have production costs about 20% lower than the revamped Model Y, and plans to produce approximately 250,000 units annually in the United States next year

Tesla (TSLA.US) announced that it will hold an event on Tuesday (the 7th), and investors and analysts are looking forward to the company launching more affordable models to maintain sales momentum.

Tesla had previously postponed the launch of the low-cost version of the Model Y in the United States. In June of this year, it stated that the first batch of production for this model had been completed and that sales would begin in the fourth quarter, with production ramping up at a lower-than-expected rate.

Reuters previously quoted sources reporting that the production cost of this affordable version of the Model Y is expected to be about 20% lower than that of the updated Model Y, and production in the United States may increase to approximately 250,000 units per year next year
