# After facing a sell-off on Friday, European chip stocks lead the market rebound

> European chip stocks rebounded after Friday's sell-off, with the technology sector performing the best in early trading on Monday, as the Stoxx 600 Technology Index rose by 1.6%. Chip equipment stocks such as ASML Holding, ASMI, BE Semiconductor, Technoprobe, and SUSS MicroTec all saw increases of 2.9%, 2.1%, 1.7%, 3.2%, and 12%, respectively. Chip manufacturers Infineon Technologies, STMicroelectronics, and Melexis also saw their stock prices rise by 2.4%, 3.1%, and 2.6%, respectively

European chip stocks rose, rebounding from a rapid sell-off at the end of Friday. The technology sector was the best-performing sector in early trading on Monday, with the Stoxx 600 Technology Index up 1.6%. The index fell 3.1% on Friday. In terms of chip equipment stocks: ASML Holding rose 2.9%, ASMI rose 2.1%, BE Semiconductor rose 1.7%, Technoprobe rose 3.2%, and SUSS MicroTec rose 12%. In terms of chip manufacturers: Infineon rose 2.4%, STMicroelectronics rose 3.1%, and Melexis rose 2.6%
