# Xibei responds to the new company's involvement in "pre-packaged food": it is only for the purpose of operating stores

On October 13th, some media reported that Xibei established a new company to engage in the pre-packaged food business, which was seen as Xibei planning to sell prepared dishes. In response, Xibei stated that the newly registered company is intended for store operations, with the main business being "catering services." Some beverages sold at Xibei stores (such as Xibei's own brand bottled seabuckthorn juice, etc.) and Xibei's mixed grain mooncakes are considered pre-packaged foods. This registration does not indicate that Xibei will engage in new business related to prepared dishes. (Securities Times)
