# DKEM plans to acquire 62.5% equity of Jiangsu Jingkai for 300 million yuan to strengthen its storage business

According to the announcement from DKEM (300842.SZ), the company plans to acquire 62.5% of Jiangsu Jingkai Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Jiangsu Jingkai") for a cash consideration of 300 million yuan. Upon completion of the transaction, Jiangsu Jingkai will become a subsidiary controlled by the company.

The announcement indicates that Jiangsu Jingkai focuses on manufacturing services for storage chip packaging and testing, as well as storage wafer sorting and testing services. In terms of storage chip packaging and testing services, Jiangsu Jingkai employs packaging processes such as BGA, FCCSP & FCBGA, and testing technologies for DRAM storage chips, providing flexible and diverse packaging and testing solutions for customers. The company has mastered advanced packaging technologies including DRAM multi-layer stacking (8-16 layers stacked Die), 30um ultra-thin Die packaging, multi-chip integration (SoC + DRAM co-packaging), SIP flip-chip packaging, as well as WLCSP and Fan-out. It also possesses full automation capabilities for finished product testing and aging testing of DRAM chips of various specifications. With the advent of the AI computing power era, Jiangsu Jingkai can provide partners with customized integrated interface services, advanced packaging materials and process introduction, customized packaging solutions, and capacity support, serving as a "middleware" for computing power chips.

In terms of wafer sorting and testing services, Jiangsu Jingkai primarily tests and classifies storage wafers using specific testing equipment based on customer requirements, which is a process before packaging that can enhance the efficiency of storage chip packaging and testing and improve the yield of finished products. Currently, it can cover products from multiple original manufacturers of DDR4/LPDDR4/LPDDR5 wafers.

The announcement states that through this transaction, the acquisition of Jiangsu Jingkai will further extend the storage chip business industry chain to include storage chip packaging and testing manufacturing, as well as storage wafer sorting and testing. This will build a product development and processing system that integrates chip application development design, wafer testing, and chip packaging and testing, effectively enhancing integrated cost and quality control capabilities and the ability to respond quickly to customer demands, further solidifying the core competitiveness and profitability of the storage business, and achieving growth and strengthening of the storage business
