# Institution: In the third quarter, China's energy storage battery shipments reached 165 GWh, a year-on-year increase of 65%

> According to research statistics from the Gaogong Industry Research Institute's Energy Storage Research Institute, the shipment volume of lithium batteries for energy storage in China in the third quarter of 2025 is expected to reach 165 GWh, a year-on-year increase of 65%. The total shipment volume from Q1 to Q3 of 2025 is 430 GWh, exceeding 30% of the total volume for the entire year of 2024. It is anticipated that in Q4 of 2025, the industry will continue to experience a supply-demand imbalance, with full production and sales. The shipment volume in Q4 is expected to maintain the trend of Q2 and Q3, with the total annual shipment volume projected to reach 580 GWh, an increase of over 75%
