# Closing Review: The Shanghai Composite Index fluctuated narrowly, rising 0.1%, with the total transaction amount in the three markets falling short of 2 trillion yuan

The three major A-share indices showed mixed results today. By the close, the Shanghai Composite Index rose by 0.1%, the Shenzhen Component Index fell by 0.25%, the ChiNext Index increased by 0.38%, and the Beijing Stock Exchange 50 dropped by 1.3%. The total trading volume in the Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing markets was 1.9487 trillion yuan, a decrease of 141.7 billion yuan compared to the previous day. Over 4,100 stocks in the entire market declined. In terms of sectors, insurance, coal mining and processing, port shipping, banking, liquor, and traditional Chinese medicine sectors led the gains; small metals, photolithography machines, steel, wind power equipment, rare earth permanent magnets, and PEEK material concept stocks saw the largest declines. On the market, the coal mining and processing sector fluctuated upward throughout the day, with ANTAI GROUP, Dayou Energy, and Baotailong hitting the daily limit. The port shipping sector rose again in the afternoon, with Nanjing Port achieving three limits in four days, and Haitong Development, Haixia Co., and Antong Holdings hitting the daily limit during the session. The banking sector saw a rebound in the afternoon, with Agricultural Bank of China approaching historical highs. On the other hand, the steel sector performed poorly, with Wujin Stainless Steel hitting the daily limit down, and Hualing Steel and Guangdong Mingzhu following suit. Photolithography machine concept stocks fell sharply, with United Chemical hitting the daily limit down by 20%, and Kaimeteqi, Maolai Optics, and Xinlai Yingcai experiencing significant declines
