# GEPIC: The 6th unit of the Changle Company 2×1000 MW coal-fired unit expansion project has officially commenced commercial operation

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, Gansu Energy (000791.SZ) announced that it recently received a report from its holding subsidiary Gansu Electric Power Investment Changle Power Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Changle Company"). The 6th unit of the 2×1,000 megawatt coal-fired unit expansion project has successfully passed the 168-hour full-load trial operation on October 16, 2025, and has officially commenced commercial operations. The 6th unit is located on the north side of Changle Company in the Liugou Logistics Park, Guazhou County, Jiuquan City, Gansu Province, with a total installed capacity of 1,000 MW, accounting for more than 10% of the company's installed capacity that has generated electricity by the end of 2024
