# Li Xiaojia and 11 members of the Macao Economic Development Committee have been reappointed

> Macau Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng continues his term with 11 members of the Macau Economic Development Committee, including former Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing CEO Li Xiaojia. New members Lu Jian and Fan Yaosheng have also been appointed, effective November 23. The committee assists the government in formulating economic development strategies and discussing policies related to economic diversification and the development of small and medium-sized enterprises

The Chief Executive of Macau, Ho Iat Seng, issued a directive to reappoint 11 members of the Macau Economic Development Council, including former Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (00388.HK) CEO Charles Li; additionally, Lu Jian and Fan Yaosheng were appointed as new members of the council, effective November 23.

Charles Li will join the Economic Development Council in late November 2023. The council is one of two advisory organizations under the Chief Executive of Macau, primarily assisting the government in formulating economic development strategies and providing opinions and suggestions on economic-related policies. The discussion scope covers economic development direction, socio-economic development strategies, moderate economic diversification policies, emerging industry development policies, and small and medium-sized enterprise development policies
