# The decline of the U.S. regional bank index has widened to 4.7%, triggered by a credit crisis at Zions, leading to sector-wide sell-offs

> The regional bank index of the US stock market fell by 4.7%, mainly influenced by the credit crisis of Zions Bancorp. Among the constituent stocks, Grupo Cibest SA dropped by 6.27%, California Bank fell by 6.19%, and several other banks such as EBC, BKU, CBSH, etc., all experienced declines of over 5%. Zions Bancorp announced it would record a reserve of $60 million and set aside $50 million, reflecting the legal challenges faced by the banking industry

Component stock Grupo Cibest SA fell 6.27%, California Bank fell 6.19%, EBC, BKU, CBSH, ONB, TEBI, FIBK, FLG, FNH, FFBC all fell at least 5%, UBSI fell 2.9% ranking second in performance, and CFR also fell 2.64%.

Previously, Zions Bancorp (a regional bank in the United States) stated that it would record a $60 million reserve and would accrue $50 million. The company announced that it is aware of the legal actions taken by the banking industry and lenders
