# Trump signs executive order imposing a 25% tariff on imported medium and heavy trucks

On October 17th local time, U.S. President Trump signed an executive order imposing a new 25% tariff on imports of medium and heavy trucks and parts starting November 1st. Trump stated that a 10% tariff will also be imposed on imported passenger vehicles
