The meeting adopted the "Cape Town Ministerial Declaration" and the Chair's Summary From October 16 to 17, the G20 Environment and Climate Sustainability Ministers' Meeting was held in Cape Town, South Africa. The meeting conducted in-depth discussions on core issues such as global biodiversity conservation, climate change response, land degradation and drought prevention, chemical and waste management, air quality, and marine environment protection. Vice Minister of Ecology and Environment Yu Huaiwen led the Chinese delegation, composed of representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, to attend the meeting and deliver a speech. The G20 Environment and Climate Ministers' Meeting serves as a key platform for all parties to discuss global environmental and climate governance challenges and build consensus for action.
