# NIO and CATL's invested companies establish a new battery technology company

> According to the Qichacha APP, recently, WeNeng Battery Technology Co., Ltd. was established, with Lai Xiaoming as the legal representative and a registered capital of 100 million yuan. The business scope includes battery leasing, recycling and cascading utilization of used power batteries for new energy vehicles, and operation of electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Qichacha's equity penetration shows that the company is wholly owned by Wuhan WeNeng Battery Asset Co., Ltd., which is jointly held by NIO Inc., CATL, and others
