# Understanding the Market | Gaming Stocks Rise Sharply, Sands China Up Over 5%, Wynn Macau Up Over 4%

According to Zhitong Finance APP, gaming stocks rose collectively. As of the time of writing, Sands China (01928) rose by 5.04% to HKD 18.98; Wynn Macau (01128) rose by 4.6% to HKD 6.59; Melco International Development (00200) rose by 4.45% to HKD 4.69; Galaxy Entertainment (00027) rose by 3.94% to HKD 38.48.

In terms of news, China International Capital Corporation (CICC) maintained its forecast for total gaming revenue in Macau for 2025 while raising its forecast for 2026. It expects total gaming revenue to grow by 9% and 5% year-on-year in the next two years, recovering to 84% and 88% of 2019 levels, respectively. Among them, the bank expects mass gaming revenue to grow by 7% and 6% year-on-year in the next two years, recovering to 119% and 126% of 2019 levels; and it expects VIP gaming revenue to grow by 19% year-on-year in 2025 and decline by 5% in 2026, recovering to 29% and 28% of 2019 levels.

Huatai Securities believes that although the National Day holiday and the end of September were briefly disrupted by typhoons, the bank estimates that the number of visitors to Macau, after excluding weather impacts, basically meets the expectations of the Macau government and exceeds the levels of the same period in 2019. The average daily gaming revenue during the National Day holiday also achieved a slight year-on-year increase. The bank believes that the core driving forces for the sector after the holiday include policy dividends such as "one permit, multiple entries" between Zhuhai and Macau, the wealth effect of "golden stock coins" boosting consumer willingness, and the synergistic effects of non-gaming activities such as the NBA China Games and the National Games
