# Guangzhou: Vigorously develop sports consumption

> The General Office of the Guangzhou Municipal People's Government issued a notice emphasizing the vigorous development of sports consumption. Plans are in place to prepare for the 15th National Games and the Special Olympics, as well as to host major events such as the World Athletics Relay and the Guangzhou Marathon. At the same time, sports carnivals, sports consumption seasons, and nationwide fitness activities will be launched to promote sports competitions in scenic areas, neighborhoods, and business districts. In addition, support will be provided for the upgrades of ice and snow venues such as Sunac in Huadu, and the construction and operation of the Hong Kong Jockey Club Conghua Racecourse will be advanced to promote the consumption development of ice and snow sports and horse racing
