# Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao meets with Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury

> Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao met with Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury to discuss Airbus's cooperation in China. Wang Wentao pointed out that the Chinese market continues to expand, providing development space for foreign enterprises, and looks forward to Airbus strengthening cooperation, especially with the production of the A320 final assembly line in Tianjin. Faury expressed that Airbus is confident in China's economy and civil aviation development and is willing to continue deepening market cooperation in China

On October 21, Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao met with Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury. The two sides exchanged views on Airbus's cooperation with China. Wang Wentao stated that in recent years, the scale of the Chinese market has steadily expanded, becoming the world's second-largest consumer market and import market. China will continue to promote the construction of Chinese-style modernization and develop new quality productivity, which will provide a broad development space for foreign-funded enterprises, including Airbus. He hopes that Airbus will take the opportunity of the production launch of the second A320 final assembly line in Tianjin to continue strengthening cooperation with China and provide more high-quality aviation products and services for China and the world. Wang Wentao emphasized that currently, the fragmentation of the world economy is intensifying, and unilateralism and protectionism are impacting the international economic and trade order, with instability and uncertainty significantly rising. China will continue to play a good role in the foreign-funded enterprise roundtable, actively promoting the resolution of issues and concerns encountered by Airbus in its development and operations in China, and jointly maintaining the stability of the global production and supply chain. Faury expressed that Airbus is confident in the development of the Chinese economy and the civil aviation industry, and the production launch of the second A320 final assembly line in Tianjin provides favorable conditions for Airbus to strengthen cooperation with China. Airbus is willing to continue to deepen its efforts in the Chinese market and contribute to promoting China-France and China-Europe economic and trade cooperation
