On October 21, 2025, the launch ceremony for the full power testing of the world's first offshore thousand-kilowatt PEM electrolyzer and hydrogen production system was held at the Nantong testing base. This power-level offshore floating PEM hydrogen production system is the first of its kind globally, jointly independently developed by Shenergy's hydrogen energy company Shanghai Hydrogen Morning New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. and its subsidiary Shanghai Hydrogen Shengtong Energy Technology Co., Ltd.
