# Anthropic collaborates with Google Cloud to expand additional computing capacity

> Anthropic has reached a multi-billion dollar partnership with Google Cloud, planning to significantly expand its computing capabilities using up to one million Tensor Processing Units (TPUs). This is Anthropic's largest TPU deployment to date, expected to achieve over 1 gigawatt of computing power by 2026. Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian emphasized the cost-effectiveness and efficiency of TPUs, as well as the ongoing innovation in the AI accelerator series

Anthropic announced on Thursday a partnership with Google Cloud and a large-scale expansion, reaching a deal worth tens of billions of dollars to ensure access to up to one million Tensor Processing Units (TPUs), marking Anthropic's largest TPU deployment to date, with an expected computing capacity exceeding 1 gigawatt by 2026.

Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian stated that this collaboration demonstrates the excellent cost-effectiveness and efficiency of TPUs, highlighting the ongoing innovation of its AI accelerator series, including the seventh-generation Ironwood chip
