Made from a durable two-layer composite laminate, it provides insulation when inflated and resembles a lightweight hoodie when deflated. The jacket will debut at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, worn by Team USA athletes. Nike has a history of inflatable jackets, with the first being the ACG Airvantage in 2008. Availability and pricing details have not yet been announced. Alongside a powered footwear system called Project Amplify and new performance apparel with improved airflow, Nike yesterday debuted a new jacket allowing athletes to regulate their body temperature without having to add or remove layers of clothing. Leveraging the company’s longtime use of air bladders to improve the cushioning in its shoes, the Nike Therma-FIT Air Milano jacket is made from a soft but durable two-layer composite laminate material that can be inflated or deflated in seconds. When filled with air the jacket is better at trapping body heat for more insulation, and when deflated it provides about as much warmth as a lightweight hoodie, according to Nike. Unlike traditional puffer jackets filled with down or an engineered insulator, the Air Milano is easier to compress and stuff into a bag or suitcase while traveling. Nike hasn’t said if or when the jacket will be available to the public or how much it might cost, but it will make its first public appearance during the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, Italy, where it will be worn by Team USA athletes as part of their medal ceremony outfits. But this isn’t the first appearance of this unique technology. Nike released its first inflatable jacket, the ACG Airvantage that you could blow up like a balloon, back in 2008. Earlier this year the company revisited the concept with its ISPA Adapt Sense Air jacket that instead uses a compact motorized air pump similar to what the new Air Milano uses. ### Related Stocks - [NKE.US - Nike](https://longbridge.com/en/quote/NKE.US.md) ## Related News & Research | Title | Description | URL | |-------|-------------|-----| | NIKE, Inc. raises dividend by 2.5% to $0.41 | NIKE, Inc. raises dividend by 2.5% to $0.41 | [Link](https://longbridge.com/en/news/275967528.md) | | Nike-owned Converse to realign operations and trim corporate workforce, source says | Nike-owned Converse is realigning its operations and trimming its corporate workforce to align with its parent company's | [Link](https://longbridge.com/en/news/275825930.md) | | Assessing Nike (NKE) Valuation As Dividend Growth And Renewed Wholesale Focus Draw Investor Interest | NIKE (NKE) has declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.41 per share, payable on April 1, 2026.
