# Five candidates for the Federal Reserve Chair have been identified, and Trump expects to make a decision by the end of the year

On the 27th, U.S. Treasury Secretary Mnuchin spoke to the media on Air Force One, stating that the selection range for the Federal Reserve Chair candidates has been narrowed down to five individuals.

**When asked if Kevin Hassett, Kevin Warsh, Christopher Waller, Michelle Bowman, and Rick Rieder are contenders for the position, Mnuchin answered affirmatively.**

He expressed hope to submit a good list to Trump after Thanksgiving. A second round of interviews will be conducted for the next Federal Reserve Chair candidates. Regarding the selection of the Federal Reserve Chair, Mnuchin indicated that an announcement is expected by the end of this year.

U.S. President Trump stated, **perhaps by the end of this year, we will make a relevant decision regarding the Federal Reserve.**
