# Tesla's upcoming CyberCab is seen as its economy electric vehicle, with plans for design adjustments

Chairman DeHoom stated that a steering wheel and pedals could be added if regulatory requirements arise, demonstrating the flexibility of the product roadmap. While some investors support the advancement of fully autonomous driving, others are concerned that the lack of a new model below the Model 3 could lead to growth bottlenecks. DeHoom confirmed that the CyberCab is what investors refer to as "Model 2."

Tesla (TSLA.O) views the upcoming CyberCab as its long-promised affordable electric vehicle and is willing to make fundamental design adjustments for large-scale sales—in simple terms, transforming it into a traditional model that can be controlled by human drivers. "If regulations require a steering wheel, we can add a steering wheel and pedals," said Tesla board chairman Robyn Denholm in a media interview on Tuesday. Denholm's remarks, while actively lobbying shareholders to approve Musk's exorbitant compensation plan, reveal significant flexibility in Tesla's product roadmap. While some investors support Musk's decision to fully push for fully autonomous vehicles last year, others are concerned about this high-risk strategy. Market worries center on the potential bottleneck in Tesla's growth if there is no new electric vehicle model positioned below the Model 3. Denholm clearly stated that the CyberCab is what investors commonly refer to as "Model 2."
