# Overnight, the "most outrageous" new high for US stocks?

Under the leadership of tech giants, the overnight S&P 500 index once again reached a historic high, with Microsoft and Apple’s market capitalization surpassing $4 trillion, and NVIDIA's market capitalization approaching $5 trillion.

However, aside from the tech giant stocks, more than 400 S&P component stocks declined.

Some investors commented on social media: It feels like we are watching the S&P being driven by ten stocks, while other stocks continue to fall. To be honest, I'm not sure if the final outcome will be very good.
