# UBS's net profit in the third quarter exceeded expectations

> UBS Group AG's net profit for the third quarter was USD 2.48 billion, a year-on-year increase of 74%, exceeding the estimated USD 1.41 billion. Total revenue was USD 12.76 billion, a year-on-year increase of 3.5%, also higher than the estimated USD 12.1 billion. Net interest income was USD 1.98 billion, a year-on-year increase of 10%, lower than the estimated USD 2.08 billion. Net fee and commission income was USD 7.20 billion, a year-on-year increase of 11%, exceeding the estimated USD 6.74 billion. Pre-tax profit was USD 2.83 billion, a year-on-year increase of 47%, exceeding the estimated USD 2.02 billion. Earnings per share were USD 0.76, compared to USD 0.43 in the same period last year, in line with estimates

Pre-tax profit for the third quarter was USD 2.83 billion, a year-on-year increase of 47%, estimated at USD 2.02 billion.

Earnings per share for the third quarter were USD 0.76, compared to USD 0.43 in the same period last year, estimated at USD 0.43
