# Palantir sues two former executives for stealing confidential documents to establish a counterfeit AI company

> Palantir sued two former senior artificial intelligence engineers, Radha Jain and Joanna Cohen, accusing them of stealing confidential company documents and technical materials to establish a competing AI company, Percepta. The lawsuit states that the two were responsible for the design and development of the company's core software and left the company at the end of last year while concealing their true intentions. The incident was revealed after the venture capital firm General Catalyst announced the launch of Percepta

American data analytics company Palantir (PLTR.US) has sued two former senior artificial intelligence engineers, accusing them of stealing confidential company documents and technical materials to establish a "knockoff competitive AI company" called Percepta.

According to the lawsuit filed on Thursday in the federal court in Manhattan, Palantir accuses Radha Jain and Joanna Cohen of stealing core source code and other materials that the company invested billions of dollars to develop.

Palantir pointed out that Jain was responsible for designing and developing the company's flagship software, while Cohen directly interacted with major clients, and both were senior employees of the company. The company also stated that the two left one after another at the end of last year, concealing their true intentions and planning for a long time; the incident was only revealed after the venture capital firm General Catalyst announced the launch of Percepta this month
